My story and how I came to be here.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved reading and writing. When I went on a family vacation to California, the hotel had a book trading library in the lobby. Through the Harlequins I found there, I fell in love with falling in love.

As I moved through life successfully, I was always searching for the excitement and mystery in the moment. It wasn’t until college, where I studied English, that I realized I was a hopeless romantic. And not just a sweet, shy romantic who wanted poetry and flowers. A passionate, hot-blooded romantic who wanted hungry kisses and pressing bodies.

After college, I expressed this romantic nature with my long-term boyfriend, eventually husband until life got in the way. As a full-time English teacher for nearly a decade, I spent most of my free time reading essays instead of novels. Planning lessons instead of dates. The romance in my life was starting to fade. There was a rough patch, several years of rough patches actually, but after surviving them, I finally realized that the excitement and mystery were missing from my life. So I started reading romance novels again.

This time I started writing them as well. And writing about them. And that’s what this blog is about. Romance, love, and sharing the benefits of them with the world. It amazes me how many niches of the romance genre there are, both fictional and non-fiction! Contemporary, historical, epic, erotic, mystery/thriller, and more! Reading and reviewing a wide variety of them will hopefully inspire me in my own writing, as well as in my audience’s reading. So, hopeless romantics, join me on this blogging adventure to add a little mystery and excitement to your life!
